Bradford City – Millwall – Thomas Giles prediction
Only a point separated these two famous teams in the final shake-up of League One this season and overall they will be pleased with their campaigns.
The Bantams are currently on a brilliant run at home having won their last 5 matches at Valley Parade, including an impressive 4-0 demolition of Walsall. Furthermore, manager Phil Parkinson has got his side incredibly well organised and they have not conceded a goal in 4 matches and had not conceded in another 4 games before a 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury Town.
Millwall have had a similarly good end to the season having won their last four games and managed to record an impressive 2-0 win over now-promoted Burton Albion back in March. However, the last time these teams met at Valley Parade ended in victory for Bradford.
There will be an incredible yet sombre atmosphere at Bradford’s ground as the club recently mourned the anniversary of the 1985 Bradford fire. Of course, football is totally irrelevant when you remember the victims of that tragedy. Nevertheless, I believe that, with Bradford’s recent good form and a partisan crowd behind them, the Bantams should beat Neil Harris’s side.
