Basel – Sevilla. Valeri Karpin’s prediction
Sevilla are the current winner of the tournament, and their chances to go further seem more preferable. But Basel are a serious team, too. In the recent years, the Swiss were good in the Champions League. In addition, they have serious motivation – the final of the Europa League this year will be held at their stadium.
Sevilla are in good shape now. But they continue to play poorly on the road. They haven’t won a single away match in the La Liga. They even lost to humble Molde in the second leg of the Europa League. However, Sevilla didn’t field their best players.
Basel are a strong team that is playing at home. I think they will not be able to lose in the first leg. It is a minimum for them.
