Barcelona – Atletico Madrid. Alexander Vishnevskiy’s prediction

Barcelona have been playing well against Atletico Madrid under Luis Enrique. This is obvious by contrast to the previous period of time when Tito Martino was in charge. Martino’s team have no wins in six games against Atletico Madrid. Then Luis Enrique came and Barcelona now have five wins in five games. The Catalans have learned how to overcome Atletico’s defence which is not so easy. But their defence is still strong and that’s why I predict not many goals in the upcoming game. Certainly, Barca are still the favourite.

Barcelona will win this game, but with a little goal difference. The odds on their win and total under 3.5 goals are pretty good at (2.25), but I wouldn’t put big money on that. Anything can happen in this game. Barcelona are on fire and Atletico are going down. But Barca have some problems with the left-back position. Jeremy Mathieu is injured and there is now an equal replacement for him. It could be Sergio Roberto, but Luis Enrique is hardly in a good spot to make such an experiment in this important game. This problem can be useful for Atletico Madrid. With all that, Diego Simeone’s team have a good chance to score in this game.

But I suggest to bet on Barcelona to win and enlarge the handicap in the title race.
