Atletico Madrid – Real Betis. Alexander Vishnevskiy’s prediction
The Uruguay national team played a dirty trick to Atletico Madrid: both their central defenders Diego Godin and Jose Gimenez returned to Madrid with injuries. They’ll not play against Real Betis and this is a huge blow for los Indios.
Last time with such problems in defence Atletico conceded a goal from poor Eibar. So now it’s very difficult to win to nil here for Atleti. You can bet on them to concede a goal, if you want.
But I back Real Betis to win with handicap. Atletico Madrid also have Yannick Ferreira-Carrasco injured and, more to say, Diego Simeone has the game against Barcelona in the CL in mind next Tuesday. I don’t think they will waste power against Betis.
And Real Betis are extremely good in away games. They got 56% of their league points on away grounds, while at home they are the worst in La Liga. So they will feel confident at Vicente Calderon against Atletico who are already at the Camp Nou in their thoughts.
