PSV Eindhoven were not considered as a serious challenger but they’ve done it to the play-offs. Moreover, they got a draw in the first match against Atletico Madrid.
But their success will come to the end in the second leg of this tie. Atletico Madrid have vast experience in the Champions League and their players are more skillful. And they are playing at home, so I have no doubts in Diego Simeone’s team to make it to the quarters.
So I expect the home team to win here. But with all that I think that PSV Eindhoven are able to score. We know that Atletico Madrid concede a little in La Liga, but things are different in Europe. For example, Benfica scored twice at Vicente Calderon against Atletico.
PSV Eindhoven have good players to attack: they scored against Man United and Wolfsburg. If Atletico Madrid score first in the upcoming game, PSV Eindhoven will have nothing to lose. They will go forward trying to score.
