Atletico Madrid will face PSV Eindhoven in the second leg of Champions League Round of 16, that’s why they need to save energy in the game against Deportivo. There are no reasons to hit the numbers hard here for Diego Simeone’s team, so they will create a little but mess with the opponent a lot.
Atletico Madrid are miles better than Deportivo, so they have all chances to win even being in the energy-saving mode. I see 2:0 or 1:0 as the most likely results here. Atletico don’t score much (less than Athletic Bilbao and just two goals more than Eibar) and they concede a precious few – 12 goals in 28 matches. Also, La Coruna are not that strong to create something against one of the leaders of La Liga.
Victor Sanchez’ team have no wins in 2016 at all. So I expect Atletico Madrid to win with a small number of goals.
