Athletic Bilbao – Atletico Madrid. Konstantin Genich’s prediction
After showing just how good they are last week, Atletico Madrid now face yet another tough opponent, one who is very good at home. It’s clear that Simeone’s team will need to win in Bilbao if they want to win the league. But the Basques are fighting for something too – a Champions League spot. If they win tonight, their rivalry with Villarreal will intensify. It’s hard to imagine that Villarreal will win against Real Madrid in their away game, so the race for Champions League qualification could be about to really hot up.
I’m not betting on the result here, but while Atletico are always good for a goal themselves, l assume they’ll concede tonight. The odds on BTTS in Atletico’s matches are always very lucrative. And Bilbao nearly always score and concede goals at home. So, I suggest picking both teams to score here.
