The first leg between these two champions finished in a 1-0 victory for the Danish side. The fact that Copenhagen did not concede an away goal in the first leg puts them firmly in the driving seat.

Cypriot champions APOEL are still yet to get their domestic campaign underway after their weekend match was postponed, allowing them to focus purely on the Champions League.

The Nicosia have been in good form at home so far this season having won both of their previous qualifiers 3-0. Thomas Christiansen (who is Danish) will be confident that his team can overturn their first leg deficit.

Stale Solbakken’s Copenhagen side are currently second in the Danish Superliga on goal difference after Brondby’s 7-0 thrashing of AGF put them top of the league. However, the 2015/16 champions are so far undefeated this season both in the league and in Europe.

Whilst they perhaps would have liked a bigger margin going into this match in Nicosia, the fact they managed to keep a clean sheet in the home leg means any goal for them in this second match could be the one that sees them qualify for the lucrative Champions League group stages.

Neither of these sides have any injury or suspension concerns going into this match so we should see two full strength lineups on Wednesday night.

The odds on both of these two are incredibly similar which just goes to show how tight this match could be.

The first market I would look at is Both Teams to Score which you can get at Evens. Although APOEL are yet to concede at home this season, they have not come up against a team like Copenhagen who have been scoring for fun in recent matches. Additionally, Solbakken’s side will be determined to get that vital away goal. You would expect the Cypriots to create chances and score on their own turf, especially given recent results for them at the GSP Stadium.

What often happens in these sorts of matches is the home team wins but gets knocked out on away goals. Whilst I do not think they will qualify, I will go with an APOEL win here at 9/5.
