Match Predict – Handicap (-4) for Zverev
In six head-to-head meetings, Alexander got the win five times. The Australian usually resists, but his chances are not so high on clay. This is not his surface, so Alex is unlikely to fight the favourite now.
Total Games – Under 22
4 of Zverev’s last 5 matches have ended in two games. It is unlikely that De Minaur will extend the match. He probably won’t be able to perform well on this surface.

Alex de Minaur:
De Minaur played his first matches well. In the opening round, the Australian easily beat Serb Dusan Lajovic (6-4, 6-1), to whom he only gave up five games.
In the second game, Alex defeated Tommy Paul (7-5, 6-4) in two sets.
In Madrid last week, De Minaur performed not so well. World No. 22 lost in the second round to Jannik Sinner (6-4, 6-1).
De Minaur played his best clay tournament of the year so far in Barcelona where he reached the semifinals. It must be said that he managed to pass quite serious opponents. He defeated Ugo Humbert (6-3, 4-6, 6-3), Lloyd Harris (6-0) and Cameron Norrie (6-3, 5-7, 6-1). After that, Alex almost stopped Carlos Alcaraz Garfia (7-6, 6-7. 4-6).
Alexander Zverev:
Zverev, meanwhile, started in Rome straight from the second round. In the first match, he beat Sebastian Baez (7-6, 6-3).
Baez fought back strongly in the first set, dropping only the tie-break. In the second set, Zverev controlled the situation on the court.

Zverev reached the final at the Madrid Masters last week. Zverev lost in the decisive match to the incredible Carlos Alcaraz Garfia (6-3, 6-1).
It was a blowout, but you have to admit that Zverev was very unlucky with the schedule. He finished his semi-final match against Stefanos Tsitsipas after midnight, which meant he didn’t get to sleep until the morning. Of course, a normal recovery before the final was out of the question.
Zverev won the Rome Masters in 2017. He managed to reach the final in 2018.
