Chelsea’s promising young midfielder, Andrey Santos, has inked a significant season-long loan deal with Nottingham Forest, a decision made following his exclusion from Mauricio Pochettino’s starting lineup in the team’s 3-1 defeat against West Ham this past Sunday.

Announced as a £16 million acquisition from Vasco da Gama in January, the 19-year-old Santos has, undoubtedly, showcased his potential at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea’s summer transfer activity saw the club secure the services of three midfield stalwarts – Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, and Lesley Ugochukwu – an aggregate expenditure nearing the £200 million mark.
