Tough Times Determine A Team – Liverpool Man, Cody Gakpo

Liverpool new boy Cody Gakpo has cleared the air that the recent form of the team which is way better than the way the team had been going is as a result of togetherness, which the manager has imbibed into the team.

The Dutch international had his first goal in Liverpool colours in a 2:0 win over local rivals Everton, last week, before scoring another one against fellow top 4 contenders Newcastle United making it two in two for him.

Cody took his time to tell that, the games the team had won was played better than the ones before, and that was as a result of greater intensity they had in the games as a team.

He mentioned that “when it is difficult, a team stays together”, a perfect illustration was tye Liverpool dressing room standing solidly behind thier Boss and putting in work till results began to show for them.

Cody was always used on the flank by his former Manager, ex Man United man Ruud van Nistelrooy, but Jurgen has always started him in the central, behind the striker, a position he says he has begin to enjoy playing too.

Gakpo was with the traveling Netherland team to Qatar for the world cup, where he registered 3 goals in his debut, the Dutchman joined Liverpool amidst links to Manchester United.
