According to Sport, Spurs are interested in signing the midfielder in January and have made a bid of €15 million (£13 million).

According to Spanish media, Tottenham have made a bid of around £13 million for Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie.

Kessie, 26, has only been with the Spanish giants for six months and has struggled for minutes and form.

The Ivorian, who joined Barcelona after leaving AC Milan, has made only five appearances this season.

According to Sport, Spurs are interested in signing the midfielder in January and have made a bid of €15 million (£13 million).

Kessie, on the other hand, wants to stay at Camp Nou and compete for a spot in the team, according to Sport.

According to reports, Barcelona manager Xavi ‘doesn’t trust’ Kessie to perform in his system.

Spurs manager Antonio Conte is reportedly offering Kessie, who was one of Europe’s hottest properties before joining Barcelona, a way out of his nightmare spell in Spain.

However, Sportsmail understands that Spurs may have to sell first or look for loan options during the January transfer window.

Kessie is still in Barcelona’s plans, but the club needs to offload players due to financial difficulties, which led to Barcelona attempting to facilitate a move for Frenkie de Jong to Manchester United in the summer.

Spurs strengthened their midfield before the season began by signing Richarlison, Cristian Romero, Yves Bissouma, Destiny Udogie, Djed Spence, Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, and Clement Lenglet who all joined Tottenham in the summer to bolster Antonio Conte’s squad.

There is also speculation that Daniel Levy will make more signings in the January transfer window, with Sporting Lisbon defender Pedro Porro linked to Tottenham for several months.

However, with Conte actively looking for more reinforcements as Spurs aim to finish in the top four.

Tottenham is fourth in the Premier League, but only one point ahead of Manchester United in fifth, and Erik ten Hag’s team has a game in hand.
