Saka Reflects on Arsenal’s Title Collapse and Pledges Determination for the Future

Bukayo Saka has opened up about the pain he feels as Arsenal fell short in the title race this season, but the young star remains optimistic about the club’s future trajectory following his recent contract extension.

Saka, Arsenal’s newest highest earner, agreed to a lucrative four-year deal that will see him earn £300,000 per week, along with bonuses. This development is a significant boost for the Gunners as they aim to mount a strong challenge for the title in the upcoming campaign.

“We’re making positive strides,” Saka shared with former Arsenal legend Ian Wright, gesturing upwards to signify an upward trajectory. “I’ve witnessed a lot of changes during my time here. Regarding this season, it’s truly devastating.”

“The ending is incredibly hard to digest, considering what could have been,” Saka continued. “But I can confidently say that over the past two to three years, I’ve witnessed the growth of this team and the club as a whole.”

Saka stressed the importance of time being on Arsenal’s side, highlighting the young age of several key players in the squad. The hunger and determination within the team, combined with the absence of major trophy triumphs for many, fuel their ambitions to achieve greatness.

“When you look at our team, you’ll notice that a significant number of us are young players. We are hungry, and the majority of us haven’t won any trophies at Arsenal yet, so our desire to accomplish big things is evident,” Saka explained passionately. “If you listen to the way we speak, it’s clear that we are here to win and to win at this club.”

Saka’s remarkable performances throughout the season, featuring 14 goals and 11 assists, have not gone unnoticed by opposition defenders. His exceptional form has made him a marked man on the field, a testament to his burgeoning reputation as one of Arsenal’s most dangerous attacking threats.
