Reece James speaks on Graham Potter’s lack of UCL experience ahead of Dortmund game
Potter was appointed as the new Chelsea manager at the start of the 2022/23 campaign when the Blues were competing in the group stage the UEFA Champions League.
The Premier League giants managed to reach the Round of 16 of the European top tier, however, there are still doubts over their potential run for the title amid Potter’s lack of Champions League experience.
James was asked about the ahead of Chelsea’s game with Borussia Dortmund to which he replied:
“He’s a proven manager, that’s the reason he got the job. I don’t think that him not managing in the competition means he can’t go on and win it. It’s just something that hadn’t been ticked off yet.”
