Following Real Madrid’s 4-2 triumph over UD Almeria at the Santiago Bernabeu, manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that star winger Vinicius Jr sustained an injury during the game.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that winger Vinicius Jr picked up a knock during their 4-2 win over UD Almeria. Speaking after the game, Ancelotti provided an update on the Brazilian’s injury status.

“Vinicius suffered a hit to his knee, but it is nothing serious. He will be ready for the Copa Del Rey final,” Ancelotti said.

Despite the injury concern, Vinicius had an impressive game, providing an assist and winning a penalty for Los Blancos. However, he and teammate Eduardo Camavinga will be suspended for Real Madrid’s next La Liga game against Real Sociedad due to accumulation of yellow cards.

Regarding Vinicius’ yellow card for protesting a foul on him, Ancelotti stated, “The reality is that Vinicius protests, he is always fouled and protests. The reality is that he has 10 yellow cards and his opponents have had far fewer.”

Real Madrid fans will be relieved to hear that Vinicius’ injury is not serious and that he will be available for the Copa Del Rey final. However, the club will have to cope without him and Camavinga for their next league game.
