Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez Eyes Erling Haaland Swoop

Real Madrid are planning on a mega swoop for Erling Haaland who they view a proper replacement to Karim Benzema.

Having finally won the Balon d’Or, it’s understandable that Benzema could be coming to end his career as a footballer.

The 34-year old has played with Real Madrid for the most of his professional playing days and a transfer is what he doesn’t think of as he would rather end his career playing for the Whites.

According to Marca, Erling Haaland is known to be the biggest option considered as Benzema replacement as the Spanish media also claimed Real Madrid has lost interest in Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe snubbed the Spanish Giants for a stay in France following the big money offer from PSG and it’s now believed the doors have been shut against him.

Speaking in an interview, former Real Madrid star Guti stated that he would rather have Haaland than Kylian Mbappe in the Real Madrid squad, “I’d rather see Haaland come to Madrid before Mbappé.”

Erling Haaland has a €200m release which it’s believed only a team outside of the Premier League can activate and Real Madrid has appeared to be the most possible suitors.

Haaland shares a big dream and would want to see himself one day announced Balon d’Or winner which a bold step to this is actually joining Real Madrid when the opportunity comes calling.

Haaland already has 15 league goals in 10 league games for Manchester City this season, reassuring the board at Real Madrid that he isn’t a one season wonder.
