Pep Guardiola confirms Man City star will play vs Southampton after long-term injury
The Citizens will be in action for their next Premier League meeting against Chelsea on Sunday. Later, on Wednesday, they are going to face Southampton in the EFL Cup quarter-final.
Ahead of the two games, Guardiola has provided an injury update on long-term absentee Kalvin Phillips.
According to the City boss, the midfielder is doubtful for the Chelsea match, however, he will play his role against the Saints.
“In the Carabao Cup [quarter-final vs Southampton] he [Phillips] is going to play and Sunday [vs Chelsea] we will see,” Guardiola said, via BBC Sport.
