Ousmane Dembele is happy to be part of Xavi’s team: “I want to stay by his side for a long time”
Ousmane Dembele has provided an update on his future at Barcelona, following interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.
This summer, the 25-year-old was extensively linked with a transfer to the Premier League as teams raced to get one of Europe’s most thrilling wingers for free.
The Frenchman, who signed a two-year contract extension with Barca this summer, has stated that he hopes to have a long partnership with the Catalan club under manager Xavi.
Speaking to Spanish outlet ‘Sport’, as quoted by Marca, Dembele said: “My relationship with Xavi is special, I want to stay by his side for a long time. Undoubtedly, Xavi has been key to continue. Also, president, I talk a lot with both of them. I’m fine. Everyone is happy now.”
