Over the last few seasons, the 25-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League on numerous occasions.

Man United are reportedly’set to compete’ with Arsenal and Chelsea for Inter Milan and Argentina forward Lautaro Martinez this summer.

The Argentina’s star struggled to make an impression and was rightly chastised for his performances. He later revealed, however, that he was in “unbearable agony” during the tournament.

“When I arrived at the World Cup, I couldn’t even kick the ball because my ankle was in excruciating pain. “I was very happy to see Julian’s exceptional form because he was able to give the squad something that I couldn’t at the time,” Martinez admitted.

“At a certain point, Leo Messi came over and told me to focus on recovering, because I would be very useful to the team in the final minutes of games.

“I already felt that ankle pain when playing for Inter and I told the coach clearly what the situation was, so I asked to rest in order to prepare for the first group game. I played against Saudi Arabia while on pain medication, but I couldn’t train regularly.”

However, the forward has been in excellent form since the World Cup. In his last seven Serie A appearances, he has four goals. In 31 appearances for the Italian club, he has 15 goals and seven assists.

Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United could all be looking for a new forward when the transfer window reopens later this year.

The Gunners have a ‘long-term interest’ in Martinez, according to Mikel Arteta, who is a ‘big admirer’ of him.

According to Football Insider, Manchester United and Chelsea are’set to compete’ with Arsenal for the signing. He’s on the wanted lists of both the Red Devils and the Blues.

Martinez is said to be’very keen on a potential move to the Premier League’ and would be open to a move.

Inter Milan is’struggling financially,’ and Martinez is regarded as one of their most valuable assets.

A bid of £70-80 million is thought to be sufficient to’seal his signature’ later this year. According to the report, his asking price ‘would not be a problem’ for Arsenal, Chelsea, or Manchester United.

According to the report, Chelsea has an advantage in the race to sign Martinez because Inter Milan currently has Romelu Lukaku on loan.

The Serie A giants want to sign Lukaku on loan again next summer, so Chelsea could include the Belgian international in a deal for Martinez.
