The Daily Mail has reported that Manchester City have shown interest in acquiring Kim Min-jae from Napoli.

Manchester City is reportedly eyeing a potential transfer move for Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae, who was previously targeted by Tottenham Hotspur.

According to reports from the Daily Mail , Pep Guardiola has expressed a keen interest in signing the South Korean defender, who is believed to have a £40 million release clause in his contract.

The release clause is reportedly set to be active for a 15-day period starting from July 1st, giving Manchester City a window of opportunity to make a move for the talented defender. The report further suggests that Kim is open to the possibility of a Premier League switch and would relish the opportunity to work under Guardiola’s guidance.

The 24-year-old defender, also known as “The Monster”, has been in impressive form for his club, making 30 appearances in all competitions this season. His physicality, aerial prowess, and ability to read the game have earned him a reputation as one of the top centre-backs in the Serie A.

Manchester City’s interest in Kim comes as no surprise, given their need to strengthen their defensive line as it’s rumored that the Cityzens will be without Kyle Walker and Aymeric Laporte next season.
