Pep Guardiola makes claims on his team’s recent performance amid preparation for the Manchester derby on Saturday.

Manchester City go into the game as favorites who are four points clear of their old rivals in fourth and also second place in the league table.

The Spaniard man has won nine out of seventeen games he’s coached against United since replacing Manuel Pellegrini in 2016 and this will be a huge factor as the game comes forth.

Man United Manager Erik ten Hag is the fourth different United manager Pep has faced during his time at city. Guardiola have beaten them all and the Dutchman included in a recent 6-3 victory at Etihad in last year.

Well, with all this factors already known, United have only dropped just few points at home in their Premier League games so far and have won their last four which makes this season so promising for United.

Pep Guardiola as well knows the magnitude of this coming game so he’s made some statements to the press.

“I would like to arrive against United with the average of minutes in the legs of the players quite similar because I have a few ideas, thoughts, ridiculous ones against United,” he said.

Pep also addressed the situation with his team with regards to the loss against Southampton at the Carabao Cup.

“The better team won and we didn’t play well. It is possible to lose games or not start well and have to overcome it but today we didn’t do it. We were not prepared, as we arrived late to try and take our chances. When you’re prepared, you score”.

“To be in competitions all the time, it is difficult. Today was a bad night and our opponent was better so we have to congratulate them. If you want to win titles you have to deserve it.”

Meanwhile, it’s no news that this game will bring a lot of excitements to the Premier League fans as it is the biggest derby in the League. For sure both managers will work with their teams to bring the best out of them.
