Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez has issued a warning to Arsenal, stating that his team has no plans to ease off the gas as they aim to finish the season in spectacular fashion.

Manchester City winger, Riyad Mahrez, has issued a stern warning to Arsenal ahead of their crucial encounter on Wednesday night. The Gunners will be visiting the Etihad Stadium for what has been dubbed as a potential title showdown.

Mahrez, who scored a hat-trick against Sheffield United in the FA Cup on Saturday, has emphasised that the Citizens have no intention of taking their foot off the gas pedal, as they seek to finish the season on a high note. The Sky Blues are not only vying for Premier League glory, but they are also in the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, where they are set to face Real Madrid.

In contrast, Mikel Arteta’s side has been struggling to find form lately, having drawn their last three league games. The North Londoners were also forced to come from two goals down to secure a point against Southampton in their previous outing.

Speaking to ITV Sport, the Algerian international expressed his delight at reaching the FA Cup final, but was quick to point out that City’s focus has now shifted to their next game against Arsenal. Mahrez commended his team’s squad depth and teamwork, highlighting the importance of each player’s contribution towards achieving success.

“Going to the final of the FA Cup is amazing so now we have to concentrate on the league and the next game against Arsenal,” he said.

“I think we have a very good squad and team, everybody pushes each other and gives a contribution and that is the way to be to have success and we have to keep going like this.”

City will be keen to maintain their momentum and secure a win against the Gunners, as they seek to dethrone the Gunners and clinch their third Premier League title in four seasons. On the other hand, Arsenal will be hoping to bounce back and reignite their fading Premier League aspirations.
