The 21-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United last year, but the transfer never materialized, and the Red Devils opted for his former Ajax teammate, Lisandro Martinez.
Despite his youth, Timber has already played an impressive amount of football and is a full international for the Netherlands. He received a call-up from Louis van Gaal for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
However, Liverpool will have to outdo their competitors to secure the talented defender’s signature. The upcoming transfer window is sure to be a fiercely contested one, and it remains to be seen if Timber will end up at Anfield next season.
