Lazio Offer Jorginho Lifeline As Blues Refuse His Extension Terms
The Italians are looking to snatch Chelsea star man after the Blues refused to hand him a contract he wishes for.
Chelsea 30-year and above contract policy could see them losing one of their top players to Lazio as the Italian look to strengthen their squad.
Lazio are currently 3rd on the Serie A table and are hoping to maintain their streak with Sarri still searching for more additions.
One player who is currently on his list is Chelsea’s Jorginho who he had so much success with during their days at Napoli.
Sarri believes he can bring Jorginho back to Italy and has offered to hand the Italian a contract around 4-years to reunite at Lazio.
Chelsea are currently offering a 2-year contract with an option to extend for a further one year, same amount of contract they are offering N’Golo Kante who is as well not accepting yet.
Jorginho has long disclosed his desire to someday return to Italy and Sarri is hoping he can make that happen sooner than expected.
The 30-year-old is still in contract until summer 2023 and Lazio would most likely wait for his contract to run out so they sign him as a free agent.
