Jurgen Klopp provides update on Virgil van Dijk ahead of Wolves clash
Van Dijk faces a long length of time on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury during the Reds defeat against Brentford.
The defender has played in every league game this season for the Reds and his injury is definitely a blow for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Speaking during a press conference ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Wolves in the FA Cup 3rd round, Klopp said: “Virg was a surprise for us and a big blow. The diagnosis was pretty harsh. It’s more than a month, but I hope it goes quick.
“It’s hard, but for him he has played an incredible amount of games in recent years.”
