Folarin Balogun has been in sensational form on loan at Ligue 1 side Reims, scoring 18 goals in the French League and making a name for himself.

Arsenal’s young striker Folarin Balogun has been making waves during his loan spell at Ligue 1 side Reims. The 21-year-old has proven himself to be a potent goalscorer, having already found the back of the net 18 times in the French league.

Renowned football journalist David Ornstein has reported that Balogun’s impressive performances are likely to present a dilemma for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. The young starlet is said to be determined to cement his place as a starter for the Gunners, which could potentially upset the balance of the team.

Despite already having a first-choice striker in Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal are keen to keep hold of their promising talent. Balogun, for his part, is also eager to establish himself as a key player for the North London club once his loan stint with Reims is up.

However, given the limited opportunities for Balogun to secure regular playing time in Arteta’s team, the youngster may be forced to look elsewhere.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein suggests that Balogun is firmly opposed to another loan move away from The Emirates, which may leave Arsenal with a difficult decision to make.
