John W Henry Names Staggering 4B Pounds As He Ready Liverpool Sale

FSG has reportedly hired blue-chip investment companies Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to supervise for the sale of the Merseyside based club, Liverpool as he finally set to cash-in on his 300m 2010 investment.

John W Henry believes it’s time he cash-in on his Liverpool investment after seeing his push for a Super League hit dead-end. Henry believes clubs like Liverpool would barely compete financially against State-backed clubs like Newcastle and Paris Saint German.

Refusing to confirm if the entire club is available for sale, a statement from their camp stated: “FSG has frequently received expressions of interest from third parties seeking to become shareholders in Liverpool.

“FSG has said before that under the right terms and conditions we would consider new shareholders if it was in the best interests of Liverpool and a club.”

Expectations are that the club owner would comfortably find a suitable buyer after seeing Todd Boehly and his consortium fork out a whooping 4.2BN for the purchase of Chelsea months ago.

Strong competitors like RedBird Capital Partners who already hold 11 percent stake in FSG which they acquired for £538million last year. Other competitors are expected to surfaces in the nearest future.

Speaking in an interview, Gerry Cardinale said: “I definitely would not exclude it (owning Liverpool) as it would be a privilege but I think Liverpool is in fantastic hands with the current group.”

Though not fully decided yet but even if the club owner decides to sell just a portion of the club, he definitely would be banking huge amount of money.
