Graham Potter provides worrying injury update on Ben Chilwell ahead of World Cup 2022
The Blues’ star picked up a thigh injury during the club’s 2 – 1 win over Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
The player needed to have scans on his injury for the medical staff’s final decision.
Now Potter has confirmed the defender’s injury is serious and he is going to be out of action for a long term.
“He is going to miss the World Cup which is bad news for any player. We just have to help him get fit and strong when he is right,” the manager said.
