German coach applies for Ghana national team managerial job

Ghana sacked their head coach Chris Hughton following their early Africa Cup of Nations 2023 exit in January.
Hughton was appointed as the Black Stars’ head coach back in February 2023. He initially joined the national team in February 2022 as technical advisor to the Ghana national team’s coaching staff.
Ghana failed to qualify for the AFCON 2023 round of 16 after finishing third in Group B with having played two draws and suffering a defeat in the opening game against Cape Verde. Egypt and Egypt and Mozambique were also in Group B.
As per AfricaNews, German coach Jurgen Kohler has officially applied for a managerial job at the Black Stars.
Kohler has submitted his application before the deadline set on Friday, February 2, 2024.
The German manager has managed several clubs the last one being Viktoria Köln where he took the role of a caretaker in 2019.
