Former Man United Defender, Rio Ferdinand Willing To Bet His House On These Teams To Finish Top Three
According to Rio Ferdinand the Premier League table is finally beginning to take shape with top 2 Arsenal and City setting their selves gradually apart from the other teams.
Arsenal who finished 5th last season have now enjoyed their best start of a Premier League campaign in a long time after amassing whooping 31 points in just 12 games.
With Manchester City strongly chasing after Mikel Arteta and his men, Arsenal are keen to maintain their lead as they resounded that with a 5-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Another team that have been in a sensational form is Newcastle United who have lost just one game since the start of the new season and currently sits 4th, behind Tottenham Hotspur who enjoyed a comeback victory against Bournemouth.
Though there is still much to be done this season before it’s called ‘done’, Rio Ferdinand believes he now has a clear vision of what the top three teams would be.
“It will be Arsenal, Man City and Man United – they are the three teams I would put my house on now,” Ferdinand said.
“And then the fourth one I can’t pick. Newcastle could come in and take it.”
In addition, former United player, Gary Neville also backed his former side for a better finish this season following the new form under ten Hag.
“I think they have a great chance of finishing in the top four now. A great chance,” Neville said to Sky Sports.
“I think there is enough around Chelsea, Liverpool, and Spurs that United will feel they can push through that bunch. I never would have thought that four or five weeks ago.”
