Ex-Premier League Players Bacary Sagna And Andy Cole Hints On Rebuild As They Lay Critics On Darwin Nunez

The former Arsenal right-back further explained the situations with he has noticed in the clubs performance this season.

Bacary Sagna knows a lot about the game as he’s played on the world’s biggest stage with his national side, but then he stated that Liverpool really have a lot of work to do.

“I think Liverpool are a team that have shone for years. They lost Mane, a major player for them, and the way they started the season was terrible.”

“This decline always happens to teams that have been at the top for such a long time, at some points you need to rebuild the team. When some players leave, you need a restart. It seems like they are trying to find their way again.”

“They are doing a bit better but they are too far away from the top four. I think it is a similar situation at Chelsea. There were a lot of changes at the club this season, and the new owners changed the manager.”

But then with regards to Liverpool’s team performance so far, a former England international Andy Cole lays critics on Darwin Nunez saying he’s been in those situations during his playing days.

Andy Cole, the Manchester United former striker tried to explain the way he’s seen Nunez’s situation laying emphasis on his style of play.

“To be fair I wouldn’t give him any advice. Everyone on social media wants to give him advice. Someone said they put him in the same bracket as me and I said to myself I find that very, very disrespectful.”

“Nunez is a totally different player to me. He tried to mention that he gets himself in positions but doesn’t finish off his chances. You never know what’s going through a certain individual’s mind, what he’s struggling with.”

“He’s robust, he’s strong, he gets in great positions but for some reason his finishing is lacking at the present moment.”

Honestly, Nunez looks to be handling things differently at the moment, but then the Liverpool fans don’t help the situation too. The player looks to be in a lot of pressure and lacks composure too. Everyone hopes to see him come good and finally stop missing those chances.
