Erik ten Hag’s reply when asked whether Manchester United team can win trophies
Erik ten Hag is convinced that he will have a Manchester United squad that is capable of winning trophies but first the current team has to focus on the next game.
Man United have impressed since the restart of club action, having won their last five matches on a bounce across all competitions.
They advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup following a dominant 3-1 win over Everton at Old Trafford on Friday night.
There’s a chance Manchester United could end their five-year title drought this season as they are very much involved in all four trophies this season.
United will face Charlton Athletic next week as the favourites in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup, they are nine points behind Premier League leaders, Arsenal, after 17 matches and are still in the FA Cup and Europa League.
When asked whether the current United squad can win trophies, Ten Hag said:v“I think we will have that, we can fight and fight back if necessary.
“We can act and stay composed so we have resilience. We have good skills in the team to win games and win prizes.”
