Erik ten Hag reveals what he learned working with Pep Guardiola
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed among other things he learned from Pep Guardiola, was how to make his team play ‘proactive’ football.
Man United signed Ten Hag from Ajax last year and the Dutchman has wasted no time to turn things around at the Theatre of Dreams.
He will manage his second Manchester derby game as Man United boss on Saturday afternoon and that will present another chance to come up against his former boss.
Both Pep Guardiola and Ten Hag worked together during their times at Bayern Munich but now they come up against each other this weekend as rivals.
On what he learned from Guardiola, he said: “There’s too much to tell [laughs]. It’s a lot. It’s too short to bring in 30 seconds, to tell that.
“The best thing I learned working with Pep? Be proactive. Football is about results. Top football is about results. But you want to do it in a certain way, a way of proactive adventure and also entertain. Top football is about winning but also entertaining the fans.”
