Erik ten Hag issues update on Harry Maguire ahead of Nottingham Forest clash
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has admitted that he’s not certain that Harry Maguire will be fit for the Nottingham Forest game next week.
Man United are back in Premier League action when they host Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford next week Tuesday but could be without their skipper.
Maguire missed Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Burnley on Wednesday night in the round of 16 of the Carabao Cup due to an illness.
Ten Hag has suggested that the Red Devils could be without their skipper due to the same reason but confirmed that they will have some hours with the England international before deciding if he’s fit for the game or not.
Speaking ahead of the clash, the Dutchman said: “Harry Maguire is sick. I don’t know how that develops.
“We have to wait. Maybe the coming hours, maybe the coming days, and then we will see if he is available for [Nottingham] Forest.”
