Ederson Hits Out At Critics, Haaland Is A Perfect Striker

Haaland has scored 32 goals in 31 appearances for City across all competitions since his move from Borussia Dortmund last year, more than any other player from Europe’s top five leagues.

26 of Halaand’s goals have come in the premier league, but with City still battling the league title with Arsenal and Manchester United after week 23 of the premier league, Erling’s performance has been subject to criticism.

Arsenal’s great Thierry Henry is of the opinion that Tottenham’s hitman, Harry Kane would have fitted better in the Man City team, while ex Liverpool man Jamie Carragher said Haaland actually might have made a wrong choice of club.

However, Ederson believes Haaland is well-suited to City’s style, though he acknowledges Pep Guardiola’s men have had to adapt to his characteristics.

On Haaland’s arrival at the beginning of th season, the Manchester City dressing room predicted that he would bag in many goals which is currently happening, as the striker got 20 goals in fewer games than any other player in the history of the competition.

Most people are of the opinion that Haaland only score easy goals, but Ederson says it is a lie, that Haaland only has the right positioning for the goals he gets.

Ederson is hopeful that Haaland keeps getting his goals as to keep making the team happy as they challenge for the title race.
