Cristiano Ronaldo has suggested that Manchester United went too soon to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and hails the Norwegian as a top guy.

Cristiano Ronaldo suggested that Manchester United were quick to dismiss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer off his duty and predicted that Solskjaer will be a good coach in the future after he was pleased to work with him.

Man United announced Solskjaer as interim manager in 2018 following the dismiss of Jose Mourinho. The Norwegian steadied the ship and won some big matches including the famous 3-1 win over PSG in Parc des Princes in the Champions League in 2019.

Solskjaer eventually got the job on a permanent basis, thanks to his superb results and guided United to a 3rd place finish in the Premier League. The Man United legend was ovbiously gradually bringing back the winning mentality to the team when he finished in three semi-finals that same season.

In his second full season, the club legend guided Manchester United to a 2nd place finish in the league and finished as the runners-up in the Europa League. Again, he went close to winning silverware.

United signed Ronaldo last year in a bid to help him ultimately lift a trophy but his return turned out the opposite of how it was imagined and the Norwegian got sacked few weeks after Ronaldo’s return.

However, Cristiano Ronaldo believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a top person and has no doubt that he will be a good coach in the future.

Speaking to Piers Morgan Uncensored, Ronaldo said: “I love [Ole Gunnar] Solskjær. I think he is a top person. I think he did a good job and needed more time, I’ve got no doubt that he’ll be a good coach in the future, I was so pleased to work with him.

“I love Solskjær. I think he was a top person, because what I keep inside my heart, it’s the heart of the persons. And Ole for me, is a top person. It’s hard to assume [the role] after Sir Alex Ferguson, but I think he did a good job.”
