Clubs with the most Ballon d’Or wins as Karim Benzema bring Real Madrid level with Barcelona
The Ballon d’Or 2022 ceremony took place yesterday, October 17 in Paris, France at Théâtre du Châtelet. Benzema was crowned the winner for the first time in his career, while Sadio Mane finished second and Kevin De Bruyne was third.
With the win, Benzema became the 12th Real Madrid player to win the most prestigious award in football and put the club levels on with Barcelona in the list of the clubs that have the most Ballon d’Or wins.
Barca and Madrid lead the list with 12 wins each, while Juventus and AC Milan are second with 8 wins each.
Bayern Munich are 3rd with 5 wins, Manchester United are 4th with 5 wins, meanwhile, Ajax, Hamburg, Inter and Dinamo Kyiv are 5th with 2 wins each.
