Chelsea star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang suffers huge Los Angeles FC transfer setback

According to reports, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s potential move to Los Angeles FC may be off because the club has yet to convince the Chelsea striker to join.

Chelsea’s future looks bleak after Aubameyang was dropped from the club’s 25-man Champions League squad last week to make room for January signings Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Enzo Fernandez.

Los Angeles FC has held talks with Chelsea about signing Aubameyang, and reports in France claim that the two clubs have agreed to a loan deal.

However, according to MailOnline, Aubameyang has yet to agree to a move to Los Angeles FC, and the Major League Soccer club ‘fears’ they will be unable to sign the striker until July.

According to the report, both Barcelona and AC Milan are monitoring Aubameyang’s situation, but the striker will be unable to join another European club until the season is over.

Since joining Chelsea from Barcelona last summer, Aubameyang has struggled, scoring just three goals in 17 appearances.

Aubameyang was left out of Chelsea’s Champions League squad last week and did not play in Friday’s goalless draw with Fulham.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles FC’s new season is set to begin later this month, with their first MLS game on February 26 against rivals LA Galaxy.
