Due to their fragile standing in the league standings, Chelsea FC is trying to turn their situation around. The Blues, who have lost nine of their past 10 games in all competitions, will be eager for a victory when they play Fulham FC on Thursday. Graham Potter, the team’s manager, will have his job cut out for him, though, since important players like Ben Chilwell, Reece James, and N’Golo Kante are out with injuries, leaving the team severely depleted. In recent weeks, a few other players have also been having trouble with their form.

Todd Boehly, owner of Chelsea FC, is anticipated to be active in the January transfer window as a result of these difficulties. In a recent transfer, the team completed the loan acquisition of Portuguese sensation Joao Felix from Spanish club Atletico Madrid for a period of six months. The 23-year-old offensive midfielder was a highly sought-after transfer target, with interest shown by both Manchester United and Arsenal. Felix reportedly had a disagreement with Diego Simeone, the manager of Atletico Madrid, which led to his move to Stamford Bridge.

Felix became the third-most expensive player in football history in 2019 when he transferred to Atletico Madrid for a sum of over £110 million. He has since made over 130 appearances for the La Liga team and has scored 34 goals in total. He has played in 14 league games this season alone, scoring four goals. Felix’s inclusion to the team will bring much-needed creativity to the attacking third for Chelsea FC, who have only scored three goals in their last seven games.

In his first interview after signing with Chelsea, Felix said, “Chelsea is one of the great clubs in the world, and I hope to assist the team attain their objectives. So I am very, very delighted to be here, and I’m extremely excited to play at Stamford Bridge.” It is unclear if he will play in Chelsea’s match against Fulham on Thursday, with the home game against Crystal Palace on Sunday appearing to be a more likely possibility for his debut.
