Chelsea Legend, Michael Ballack Discloses Kai Havertz Best Position
The former Chelsea man has shared that he believes Havertz will produce better outcomes if his position is switched.
Ballack believes the arrival of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang should help get the best out of Kai Havertz.
Havertz has managed to stand up for Chelsea in several big occasions including the Champions League final where he netted the only goal of the game.
Ballack believes Kai Havertz still has more to offer if only he can be played behind a striker and not as a false 9.
The former Bayer Leverkusen man is traditionally an attacking midfielder but since his move to Chelsea, he has mostly been used as a number 9, Ballack believes Havertz can play better if he is put behind a striker.
“Kai Havertz has proven – even before Chelsea – that he can fill the striker role well,” Ballack said.
“It’s a pity, though, because I see him in a system that is ideal for him behind the striker. There he can make even better use of his qualities.”
Chelsea will face Aston Villa this weekend and with the new manager already rolling in super form, Kai Havertz may witness a major uprise in his career.
