Chelsea and Manchester United target makes huge Arsenal transfer admission

According to Italian news outlet Tuttomercato, Arsenal are willing to compete to sign Rafael Leao from AC Milan. To secure his services a transfer could cost upwards of £100million, with £105million bids expected to be launched.

Early in the previous season, Leao was reportedly a target for Arsenal, according to the Italian publication La Repubblica, who claimed that the Gunners were interested in signing the AC Milan forward during the summer transfer window. As Arsenal might be weak on wingers for the upcoming season, Edu might try to rethink this agreement.

The Portuguese attacker would undoubtedly improve Arsenal’s front line with his 13 goals and seven assists for Milan last season. The fact that he can play either the flank position or as a lone forward, highlighting his versatility, making him a more enticing signing.

His stellar efforts during the previous campaign enabled Milan to win the Serie A championship and edge out fierce rival Inter Milan for first place. Leao’s role in this triumph was underscored by the fact that he was named Serie A player of the year.

Leao stated in an interview with RDPAfrica through Fabrizio Romano: “Experience in a new league? Yes, going forward… However, since I have a contract with AC Milan, a prestigious club, I am now entirely focused on them. I also enjoy the city.

“I enjoy football greatly. I like Arsenal this season because of how well they’re playing.”

Despite having a clear need to reinforce in the wide areas, Arsenal was unable to acquire a winger during the summer transfer window. There is a possibility of burnout since Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are under a lot of pressure to perform well until the next chance to address this pitch opens.

It’s critical to add depth to the forward areas with the Gunners expected to finish in a Champions League qualification spot next season.
