Bruno Fernandes heaps praise on Alejandro Garnacho after late Fulham match-winning goal

Manchester United skipper Bruno Fernandes has raved about Alejandro Garnacho after the teenager scored the match-winning goal against Fulham.

Man United bounced back to winning ways in the Premier League with a tight but entertaining 2-1 win over Fulham at the Craven Cottage.

Christian Eriksen opened the scoring in the first half but Daniel James equalised it halfway through the second half. Erik ten Hag hauled off Anthony Martial for Garnacho and the teenager would go on to win it in injury time.

The Argentine has been brilliant for Manchester United in recent games. He came off the bench against Aston Villa on Thursday and provided two assists to help Man United stage a comfortable 4-2 win over the Villas at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup.

Bruno Fernandes was pleased with Garnacho’s performance and admitted that the teenager will make more impacts in the team.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the win, Fernandes said: “He [Alejandro Garnacho] has a lot of talent and his work rate with the talent makes a big difference.

“It’s not the first time he makes a big impact for us. We are really happy for him and know he can give us goals, assists and prove the joy of football.

“I think everyone is seeing signs that [Garnacho can go all the way]. Not because of his goals and assists but the way he comes into the game. Nobody likes to be on the bench so the attitude he has when he comes off has been fantastic.”
