Bayern Munich ‘not interested’ in Cristiano Ronaldo contrary to reports
According to reports in Germany, Bayern Munich are not interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United.
Reports emerged this week after Cristiano Ronaldo’s uncensored interview with Piers Morgan that the striker’s agent Jorge Mendes held transfer talks with Bayern Munich last week over to the Allianz Arena when the transfer window reopens in January.
Many close to Manchester United believe the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has played his last game as a Red against Aston Villa last two weekends in the Premier League after his comments in the interview.
Some reports are suggesting that the Red Devils are thinking about terminating his contract or offloading him in January as a free agent as they are keen to cut ties with the former Juventus man.
As a result, the likes of Chelsea, Bayern Munich and PSG all linked with moves to lure the 37-year-old’s signature in January.
However, according to a legit Bayern source, Christian Falk, the Bundesliga champions reportedly did not hold any talks with Ronaldo’s camp and are not thinking about showing interest in the Portuguese star.
Falk said on Twitter: “It is not true that Bayern had a meeting with Jorge Mendes. Bayern are not interested in Cristiano Ronaldo.”
