Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale Opens Up on Pressure of Title Race with Manchester City.
Arsenal’s goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale, has expressed his excitement at being part of the title race with Manchester City this season.
In an interview with Sky Sports , Ramsdale revealed that the pressure of competing for the title is vastly different from what he has experienced before in regulation battles.
Despite being four points ahead of Manchester City in the league, with the latter having a game in hand, Ramsdale is under no illusions about the task ahead. “It’s in our hands,” he said. “The West Ham game felt like two dropped points for the position we are in. But now it’s even more clear. We’ve got to win our games. It’s up to us. If we don’t, then we’ve only got ourselves to blame.”
An integral member of the Gunners wonderful season, Ramsdale is experiencing the pressure of fighting for the title for the first time. He admits that it’s a different kind of pressure to what he’s faced before, but it’s one that he finds more enjoyable. “It’s obviously my first time in this situation,” he said. “It’s completely different pressure to what I faced before. More enjoyable pressure (than fighting relegation). I don’t personally feel the strain as much as when you’re down at the other end.”
