Alexis Mac Allister reacts to Doku’s challenge in Liverpool draw with Man City

Liverpool hosted Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday, March 10, 2024 and played a 1-1 draw.
John Stones opened the scoring in the first half, while Alexis Mac Allister equalised for the Reds in the second half from penalty.
Jurgen Klopp’s side could have been given a chance to win the game after Jeremy Doku’s challenge on Mac Allister in the 90+8′ minute, however, Doku’s challenge went unpunished following a VAR check and the Reds were denied of another penalty.
“Me? Just me? You think it’s just me?” Mac Allister told BBC’s Match of the Day 2 programme, when asked whether he thought a penalty should have been given.
“I think it’s a clear penalty. I cannot say much more. I think the ref did a very good job throughout the game, but I think he made a mistake in the last decision.”
