
2016 Milwaukee Film Festival sees 8% increase in attendance over 2015
The 8th Annual Milwaukee Film Festival included 283 films from 51 countries at five venues on six screens, and saw continued growth in overall event attendance — 76,899 in 2016, compared to 70,885 in 2015. Public film screenings included a total of 58,355 attendees, while private weekday education screenings hosted a total of 8,290 students (grades 1 through 12) at the Landmark Oriental Theatre. In addition, this year’s festival had 87 sold-out screenings.
