Out of these two sides, only Huddersfield really have something to play for as they look to secure their play-off place.

Wolves went on a fantastic five-match winning streak to secure their Championship survival. However, since then, the flip flops have replaced football boots with just one win in their last four. Furthermore, they could only produce a dull 0-0 draw against Blackburn Rovers last time out which many described as one of the worst games they had ever seen.

Although they have only won one of their last four, in fairness to Wolves, they have been defensively sound in the last couple of games with no goals conceded. However, they have been pretty poor in the final third, not only recently with just one goal in their last three, but throughout the campaign, as demonstrated by the fact they have found the back of the net just 52 times in 43 matches.

Paul Lambert’s side have struggled at home this season and, after going on a three-match winning streak at Molineux from mid-March to early April, they have now taken just one point from a possible six in their last two. Again, their last match against Blackburn was woeful.

Huddersfield looked like they could clinch automatic promotion a few months back but now they are fighting to hang onto their spot in the top six after winning just two and losing three of their last seven matches.

David Wagner’s men have really struggled at the back in recent times and their 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Fulham at the weekend really demonstrated this. Huddersfield have now conceded an average of 2.25 goals per match in their last four. Attacking wise though, they have been pretty good in the last few matches with five in their last three. This is improved from the rest of the season although they are still the lowest scorers not only in the top six, but in the top nine with just 55 in 43.

The Terriers may have the fifth-best away record in the league, however, they have taken just one point from a possible nine in their last three. Having said that, before then, they had won three in four so clearly they can do the business away from the John Smith’s Stadium.

This is of course a high pressure game for Huddersfield and they’re expected to be right at it from the off. They may not be in the greatest form, but, now that it really matters, I think they will come out on top against a Wolves side who have taken their foot off the gas. Backing Huddersfield at 8/5 is worthwhile.
