Liverpool’s heads are firmly in the Europa League, so there isn’t much point looking at recent results. Especially since Jurgen Klopp has been rotating and mixing and matching his squad anyway. Chelsea have been better than their recent results suggest. Yes, they let the lead slip away and lost to Sunderland, but that was down to indivdiual errors. They stormed back from two goals down against Spurs. They won at Bournemouth. In other words, they’re probably not as bad as the table suggests. I don’t normally like backing odds-on bets, but Chelsea +1 on the handicap at 1.75 seems reasonable. Liverpool are just too tough to read right now, whereas Chelsea are on a bit of a bounce.
