Another UFC Fight Night will take place on November 20 at UFC APEX. In one of the preliminary card events, American bantamweight Fernando Garcia will fight American bantamweight, Brady Hiestand. The fight is planned for 01:00 UK time.
In this great matchup, I vote in favor of young Brady Hiestand, who to me is superior to his opponent in every aspect of the fight, though not by much. Brady will be outboxing his opponent, and we’re not likely to see any wrestling in this fight, and even if we do, Brady looks much better in that aspect as well.
Fernando Garcia is a puncher. Average stand-up work, good footwork, low wrestling, and poor defense against take-downs. Also worth noting is the awful opposition and outright cheesiness of the fighter. Fernie lost to the American bantamweight Journey Newson in the third round (by unanimous decision) and has a victory over American bantamweight Joshua “Wide Open” Weems.
Brady Hiestand is a puncher. He’s got great punching combinations, good footwork, and low wrestling, but his defense against them is not bad. Also worth noting is the intelligent game plan for each bout, excellent cardio, and weak opposition. In his last fight, Brady Hiestand lost to American Ricky “Pretty” Turcios in the third round (by a split decision).
