On November 13 at Madison Square Garden will take place UFC 281. In one of the preliminary card events, New Zeeland light heavyweight Carlos Ulberg will fight former Real Xtreme Fighting Light Heavyweight champion, Romanian light heavyweight Nick Negumereanu. The fight is planned for 02:00 UK time.
Bookmaker Ratings: Prediction #1 –
In this fight, I’m going to give my preference to Nick Negumereanu, because I think he’s a more competent and well-rounded fighter. Most likely, the fight will be fought in the standings, and when Carlos gets tired, Nick has no problems taking him down and controlling him on the ground until the judges decide, but it’s very unlikely, that Nick will try to finish him.
Carlos Ulberg is a basic kickboxer. Great punching combinations, good footwork, some cardio slumps closer to the third round, and good opposition. Also worth noting is his training in a great gym and high fighting iQ, something that fighters have very rarely these days. During his UFC debut, Carlos defeated Cameroonian middleweight Tafun Nchukwi and Brazilian light heavyweight Bruno Oliveira, both by knockout in the first round, and American Light heavyweight Fabio Cherant (by unanimous decision of the judges) in the third round. New Zeeland fighter lost in a bout with Nigerian light heavyweight Kennedy “African Savage” Nzechukwu (by knockout) in the second round.

Nick Negumereanuu is a versatile fighter. Good punching combinations, average wrestling, excellent cardio, high level of fighter’s iQ. Nick as a whole is a very smart and competent fighter. He and his team always put together a competent gameplan for the entire fight, thanks to which he goes on a streak of four straight wins, where he defeated Ukrainian light heavyweight Ihor “The Duelist” Potieria (by knee knockout) in the second, Nigerian light heavyweight Kennedy “African Savage” Nzechukwu (by a split decision) in the third, American Ike Villanueva (by punch knockout) in the first and Bosnian light heavyweight Aleksa Camur (by a split decision of the judges) in the third round. Romanian fighter’s UFC debut includes only one loss, where he has been defeated by Russian light heavyweight Saparbek Safarov in the third round (by unanimous decision of the judges).
